Post of randomness, by Geneil

It's funny how I love to see that other people have posted on their blogs, but then I don't quite get around to posting myself. I know that everyone experiences some of this, but still... sorry about that! :-)

Here are some things that I've been thinking it would be good to say:

1. On our blog, if you click on the title of a post to see the comments, you can click on our blog header to get back to the home page; you just have to click in the white space above the words. If you click on the words themselves it doesn't work... I'm going to see if I can fix that, but in the meantime, please click in the white space, and back to the home page you'll go.

2. One of the many, many things that I love about Josh is that he has introduced me to some of my favorite funniness; he and I both have some decidedly silly facets in our senses of humor. As an example, here are two quotes that I would like to share with all of you, because they make me laugh every time I hear them:

The Red Green Show
"If salad is so good for you, why can't you barbecue it?"
This PBS show is hilarious! It's basically the variety hour of a Canadian handyman whose handy ideas often blow up; he and his collection of funny friends show us all of their adventures. Josh and I love the kooky silliness.

Groucho Marx
"Outside of a dog, a man's best friend is a book. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."
We absolutely love the Marx brothers. (The Russian communist Marx is no relation—yeah, I was confused at first, too.) :-D Classic slapstick comedy (but not quite as many actual slaps as the Three Stooges), amazing musical talent (they're really playing!), and clever dialogue. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon when you're working on something hands-on, or for road trips.

3. I loved the Relief Society broadcast on Saturday! I have a new goal to approach my daily tasks with the attitude of a creator, whether I'm really creating something from scratch or organizing some matter that was unorganized before. That makes even simple little tasks seem like worthwhile achievements, doesn't it? I'm fulfilling my eternal potential!

Well, I'd better eat some lunch before I get back to work... have a happy Monday, and we'll try to post again soon! :-)
