This earthquake was a 5.0, with the epicenter right in San Bernardino.

And it shook our house pretty good! I'm always glad, when we have earthquakes, that we live upstairs, because we usually don't get quite so shaken—the earthquakes feel smoother up here. However, this one was definitely shaky. The floor lamp next to me wobbled a bit, but nothing fell down. My heart rate went a little crazy. :-) I think this is the strongest one I've felt at home. Luckily, it didn't last very long—it was probably only 10 seconds or so. (Josh was driving at the time, and he didn't really feel it. I feel bad that he missed out on the excitement, but I'm awfully glad it didn't disturb his driving.)

Is it very shameful of me to be glad that we probably won't live in earthquake territory for all of our lives? I'm such a chicken. :-)

Update at 10:30 p.m.: They're saying now that it was just a 4.5. Still quite a shaker, though. And there was a 3.3 aftershock an hour later, so Josh got in on some of the fun after all. :-D

Hey,
June and graduation and moving you can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned! I was wondering if there might be one while we were there, but I guess it waited until we left!
YIKES! You didn't call me! "Pank You!" I'm glad you are both fine.

Okay, so, yeah... that was crazy. Holy cow. I, too, am a self-declared chicken who is excited that we probably won't be living in earthquake territory all our lives. :)
