Of all the silly things.

*sigh* I pulled a muscle or something in my neck yesterday. I was just stretching, and there was a loud-ish POP—the kind that you think will feel good. But then the muscles in my neck started to hurt. It hurt to hold my head straight... and if I tried to hold it straight or look to the left, the muscle in the curve of my neck would cramp painfully.

I went to the chiropractor, got x-rays, and got adjusted; he says that, whatever the final straw was, my neck definitely needs some realignment... and some ice. I have a follow-up appointment on Monday. It does feel much better today, but it is still sore and stiff, and I'm pretty sure I'm still tilting my head a little to the right because it hurt so much to tilt it left yesterday. (We went to a ward activity last night; I thought I was acting normally, but several people asked right out what I'd done to my neck. So much for not looking like a hunchback.) :-D

The moral of the story is that when you get in a minor car accident and your mother tells you to go see the chiropractor even though nothing hurts, you should just do it. The accident may not have caused any real damage, but the visit will still save you trouble later!

You should also get a massage.....before the chiropractor visit, then your bones move easier and you are ready for bed you are so relaxed....
