So you might have seen the article in the news this week about the spider in Australia that apparently killed and ate a bird that got caught in its web. An Australian family captured the whole thing on film, since it happened in their backyard. Besides causing my wife to affirm that we are NOT going to move to Australia any time soon, I think it serves as a sobering reminder of how just how dangerous nature can be.
In that spirit, let me call your attention to the following article, which graphically shows the death of a bunny rabbit at the hands of--get this--a HERON. That's right, those tall, gawky water birds have apparently become killers. I never would have thought that herons had it in them. So the next time you go to the lake and see a heron walking in the water, watch out! You could be next!

I know, I'm a chicken... but between the too-large spiders and the fact that you could find an alligator in your kitchen in Australia just as easily as you could in Florida, it's true. I think I would have to veto a move down under. :-)
well if you ever do go down under take me with you so i can protect your children from those nasty alligators and spiders, i am a pro at killing them, since every girl i know can't even look at them (yup they are afraid of alligators). Also it would be cool because then you can have a pet kangaroo or elephant or maybe an over sized turtle.
but if you dont ever move down under then i guess its ok, just take me to the zoo with you instead because that would be almost as cool as having a pet kangaroo.
If you go to Australia, you can take me too. I don't know about kangaroo as a pet, but it sure is tasty!
:-D Okay, maybe we can take a visit to Australia.
Where did you eat kangaroo, Brian?
